ACCESSIBILITY
Thialf is located in Heerenveen (Pim Mulierlaan 1) and is easily accessible by car, public transport, and for the true Frisians: by bike!
If you've purchased a parking ticket in advance, follow the 'P Thialf' signs upon arrival. Check your parking ticket for the designated parking area.
Public transport | The Thialf Express
For public transport travelers, plan your journey via the NS travel planner. During the ISU World Cup 6, QBuzz operates the special Thialf Express - line 815, a direct bus from Heerenveen bus station to Thialf Ice Stadium. The Thialf Express runs from 1.5 hours before the first event until 1.5 hours after the last event.
Do you want to carpool to the ISU World Cup 6 at Thialf?
Are you heading to Thialf and know for sure that colleagues, friends, or acquaintances are also going? How convenient would it be to offer your empty car seats? A little extra cash, some good company, but most importantly, it's better for the environment!
Easily share your empty seats with friends, teammates, or fellow skating fans, or book a seat within two minutes and enjoy the ride to Thialf together.
Important Information for Your Visit to Thialf
Please note: No lockers available!
Keep in mind that there are no lockers available at Thialf, so plan accordingly.
We would also like to draw your attention to the following conditions:
Bags or backpacks larger than A4 size are not allowed.
Photo and video equipment with a lens larger than 55mm is also not permitted.
Bringing your own food and drinks is not allowed.
Smoking or vaping is prohibited inside Thialf.
Cushions, blankets, self-brought chairs, etc., are not allowed on the standing stands. These areas are designated for standing only; sitting is not permitted.
Walkers, tripod canes, strollers, and prams are not allowed inside the stadium. A very limited space is available at the information desk where you may leave them at your own risk.
A designated platform for disabled visitors is available at Thialf. Separate tickets are required for this area. For safety reasons, wheelchairs are not permitted elsewhere in the stadium.

Whether it’s freezing cold outside or you’ve just witnessed an incredible moment at Thialf (okay, maybe not on the ice, but definitely from the stands), Chocomel is always the perfect skating companion!
This weekend, we’re going all out and treating you to a warm Chocomel moment! While you’re waiting in line to enter the stadium, you’ll be welcomed with a steaming cup of Chocomel from our cozy Chocomel chalet. Suddenly, waiting just got a whole lot better, right?
And because we believe that every top athlete (or top supporter!) deserves proper recovery, you’ll also receive a free Chocomel Protein when you leave—our newest, extra-powerful thirst quencher!

On the concourse behind the Sven Kramer corner, the West stand, and the Ireen Wüst corner, you’ll find various catering points where you can purchase delicious drinks and snacks using tokens. Tokens can be obtained from the vending machines throughout Thialf.

If you’re looking for a place to sit and relax, head to the Brasserie located at the main entrance of Thialf. You can access it by entering through the main entrance.
